Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Thinkerz Ltd collects through this website, why we use it, who we share it with and what rights you have.

Last updated: 23 September 2026

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Thinkerz Ltd, the company behind the Thinkerz advisory practice and the Thinkerz product ecosystem. Thinkerz Ltd is registered in Scotland. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Thinkerz Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

THINKERZ LTDRegistered Office: Clyde Offices, 2nd Floor, 48 West George Street, Glasgow, G2 1BPCompany number SC778478

2. What this policy covers

This policy covers thinkerz.co.uk and the personal information we collect through it — in particular, information you send us using the enquiry form on the Contact page, and information you give us when you correspond with us.

Some Thinkerz products are delivered on separate websites. Those sites may publish their own privacy notices, and those notices apply when you use them. This policy does not cover them.

3. What we collect

We only collect personal information that you choose to give us. The enquiry form on this website asks for:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • your company name, if you choose to provide it
  • a short description of what you are working on
  • your question or message
  • a confirmation that you have read this policy

We also record the date and time your enquiry was submitted, so that we can manage the correspondence and deal with it in the right order.

We do not ask for, and do not need, your date of birth, bank or card details, identification documents or any similar information through this form.

Separately, when you load a page, our hosting infrastructure receives standard technical information — such as your IP address, the time of the request and your browser type. This is generated automatically by normal website operation and is used to deliver the site securely.

We do not intentionally deploy third-party marketing or behavioural tracking technologies on this website.

Optional Base44 application analytics have been disabled. Base44, as the platform that hosts and serves this website and application, may still process limited technical, security, operational and service-usage information that is necessary to operate, secure and maintain the service. This may include technical identifiers, page and request information, and similar platform telemetry.

4. How we obtain it

We obtain personal information:

  • directly from you, when you complete the enquiry form
  • directly from you, when you email us or otherwise correspond with us
  • automatically, through the technical operation of the website and its hosting, as described in section 3

We do not buy personal information or obtain it from data brokers.

5. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

Responding to your enquiry and managing the correspondence. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests. We have a legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries that are addressed to us and in keeping a reasonable record of that correspondence.

Taking steps you have asked us to take before a possible engagement. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract. This applies where you ask us to consider a specific matter and we need to review information in order to do so.

Keeping the website secure and preventing misuse. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in protecting the site and the people who use it.

Meeting our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations. Lawful basis: compliance with a legal obligation.

About the checkbox on the form. The form asks you to confirm that you have read this policy. That is an acknowledgement, not consent to processing, and we do not rely on it as our lawful basis. We do not use the information you submit for marketing, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

6. Information you should not send us

Please do not send special category information through the general enquiry form. This includes information about your health, racial or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic or biometric data, sex life or sexual orientation. Please also avoid sending other highly sensitive material, such as full identity documents or bank details.

We do not need information of that kind to deal with an initial enquiry. If your matter later requires it, we will agree an appropriate way to handle it with you before you send anything.

7. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for marketing. Enquiry information is visible only to those within Thinkerz Ltd who need to see it in order to respond.

We rely on a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf:

  • Hosting and application platform. This website is built and hosted on Base44, which serves the site and stores the enquiries submitted through the form.
  • Email delivery. A notification containing the details of your enquiry is sent by email to a Thinkerz inbox, using our platform’s email service, so that the enquiry can be picked up and acted on. The database record remains the authoritative copy.
  • Professional advisers. Our accountants or legal advisers may see information where that is necessary for our own compliance.
  • Authorities. We may disclose information where we are required to by law, or in order to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

No third-party CRM, mailing list or marketing platform receives the information you submit through this website.

8. International transfers

Thinkerz Ltd uses Base44 as a processor for the data collected through this website and the application that runs it. Base44, and some of the subprocessors it uses, may process personal information outside the United Kingdom.

Base44 states that international transfers are made using applicable lawful transfer mechanisms. These include adequacy arrangements, recognised data-transfer frameworks and contractual safeguards, including the Standard Contractual Clauses with the applicable UK requirements.

We do not assume that all personal information remains in the United Kingdom. Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on those mechanisms and require appropriate safeguards to be in place. You can ask us for more detail about the safeguards that apply to a particular transfer.

9. How long we keep it

How long we keep information depends on what comes of the enquiry.

Enquiries that do not result in an advisory or client engagement. We keep these for up to 24 months after the last substantive contact, and then delete them — unless there is a legitimate legal or compliance reason to retain them for longer, in which case we keep them only for as long as that reason requires.

Enquiries that develop into a client engagement. The relevant client and transaction records may be retained separately, in accordance with our legal, accounting, tax, contractual and professional record-keeping requirements. Those records are not governed by the enquiry retention period above, and we do not delete an active engagement on the basis of it.

Where we keep information because of a legal, accounting or compliance obligation, we keep it only for as long as that obligation requires.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. The site is served over an encrypted connection, access to enquiry records is restricted to those who need it, and submissions are screened for automated abuse.

No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and no method of transmission over the internet is entirely secure. We cannot promise absolute security.

11. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • ask us to delete information
  • ask us to restrict how we use information
  • object to our processing of information
  • receive information you gave us in a portable, machine-readable format
  • withdraw consent, where we rely on consent as our lawful basis — we do not currently rely on consent for any of the processing described in this policy

These rights are not absolute. Whether a right applies depends on the circumstances and on the lawful basis we are relying on. We will explain our position if you make a request.

12. Automated decisions

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making, and we do not profile you.

13. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please raise it with us first so that we have the chance to put it right.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. You can do so through the ICO website at ico.org.uk.

14. Cookies and browser storage

This website does not set advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. For what is stored in your browser and how to control it, see our Cookie Policy.

15. Links to other websites

This website links to other sites, including Thinkerz product sites and external resources. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. When you follow a link, we recommend reading the privacy notice of the site you are visiting.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Where a change is material, we will make that clear on this page.

17. How to contact us about privacy

You can contact us about privacy, or exercise any of the rights in section 11, by email at hello@thinkerz.co.uk. Please tell us which right you are using and what you would like us to do.

You can also use the enquiry form on our Contact page, marking your message as a privacy request.
